5. Elie Okobo

Elie Okobo rose up draft boards in the past month and is projected to go right around the Bucks pick. I haven’t seen him associated with Milwaukee recently, but his name has certainly been mentioned with them in the past few weeks.

Okobo’s biggest selling point is that some scouts see him as having the highest ceiling of any of the point guards in the draft. He’s a shoot-first 1 that can put the ball through the hoop from anywhere on the floor.

That could be good or bad for Milwaukee. On one hand, they need a scorer to lead their boring second unit. On the other, they don’t really need another shoot happy player to take shots away from Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton.

Okobo still has a ways to go with his ball-handling and decision making, but those are two areas that are easily improvable. Right now, he has an outside chance of being selected by the Bucks.
