5. The Bucks buy a second round pick

Milwaukee doesn’t currently have a second-round pick thanks to a mid-season trade that saw them send Rashad Vaughn and a second to the Brooklyn Nets for Tyler Zeller. Unfortunately, that leaves Milwaukee without one of their best draft weapons.

Their first-round woes have already been noted, but it’s also important to remember their recent success in the second round. Malcolm Brogdon won Rookie of the Year for the 2016-17 season and last year’s second-round pick Sterling Brown looks like he could become a player as well.

The Bucks aren’t strangers to buying their second-round pick as they sold their 48th overall pick last year to the Los Angels Clippers for $2 million. They then bought the Philadelphia 76ers 46th overall pick for $1.9 million.

Per the CBA, every team is allowed to buy a second round pick for up to $3.5 million. That should give Milwaukee more than enough wiggle room to acquire a selection somewhere in the last 30 picks.
