Green Bay Packers: Five takeaways from mandatory minicamp

2. Vince Biegel gives outside linebacker depth a sliver of hope

Vince Biegel is an often forgotten-about player, and for good reason. As a rookie, he appeared in only nine games, mainly on special teams. Due to a lingering foot injury in rookie minicamp last season, he never quite gained any momentum.

But the second-year pro was impressive in his showings during minicamp. He looked fluid in his movements and most importantly looks healthy. He should be a solid depth option for the Packers at outside linebacker; something they’ll desperately need.

Combined with Reggie GIlbert’s emergence this offseason, it looks as though Green Bay’s depth at outside linebacker is a little deeper than initially perceived.
