The Green Bay Packers have Aaron Rodgers under center, which spurs instant offense. That may not be enough with the question marks that surround him.

With Aaron Rodgers under center, the Green Bay Packers are a near lock to have one of the top offenses in the NFL. Since Rodgers took over as the starter in 2008, the Packers have ranked worse than 10th in points only twice. This includes this past season when they were quarterbacked by Brett Hundley for the majority of the season.

Heading into the 2018 season, Rodgers and the offense will surely miss Jordy Nelson, as they did in 2015. However, they have brought in various weapons, including Jimmy Graham and three rookie wide receivers to replace that lost production.

However, besides Nelson, there are a few other issues that the team will need to address if they have plans to hoist their fifth Lombardi trophy come next February.

Mike McCarthy and recently returned offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will have to work quickly and efficiently to solve those issues. Rodgers is under contract for two more seasons, and, although he should re-sign soon, the team’s competitive window won’t be open forever. His skills show no signs of slowing down but multiple key contributors are aging out of their primes. The Packers offense was at its peak under Philbin during his first stint, when Rodgers torched the NFL.

While the supporting cast is not as good as the one he had then, the running back position is more solidified with quality depth. The tight end position is also stronger than it has ever been in Rodgers tenure. Without further delay, let’s discuss the team’s five biggest questions surrounding the offense.
