Frank Kaminsky took huge strides as a collegiate player at Wisconsin and ultimately won the National Player of the Year award in 2014-15. That huge jump sparked him to be drafted with the ninth overall pick in 2015 by the Charlotte Hornets.
So far, his career has mostly consisted of coming off the bench where he’s made 212 of his 235 total appearances from. But that appears to be fine for Kaminsky, as he’s carving a nice niche for himself.
He’s averaged in double-digits the past two seasons and really found his outside shooting stroke last year. He’s never going to be a go-to scorer, but is a valuable stretch big man who is agile enough to take a big man out to the three-point line or drive right past him from the perimeter.
