As I’ve said many, many times, Robert Williams would be a home run pick for Milwaukee. Granted he lasts until pick 17.

Most outlets have Williams’ floor as being No.1 15 to the Washington Wizards. And that makes a lot of logical sense for Washington given they currently have the aging and expiring contract of Marcin Gortat at center.

However, if he does fall past them, the Bucks should jump all over it. Even though Williams is a bit short for center at 6-foot-9, he’s a shot-blocking menace. He could provide Milwaukee with a nice presence down there and a good offset to the long and lengthy John Henson and Thon Maker.

Offensively, he brings more to the table than either two guys or at least a different look than Maker. Williams is in the same mold as a DeAndre Jordan or Clint Capela as a rim-rolling big man who can go up and throw the ball down. An Antetokounmpo-Williams pick-and-roll would be a nightmare for opposing teams.

Even though Milwaukee doesn’t have many assets to move up in this draft, they should find a way to claw to No. 14, jump ahead of the Wizards, and select my man Robert Williams.
