Green Bay Packers: 5 overrated players in 2018

3. DeShone Kizer

Hopefully, DeShone Kizer will not see the field for any meaningful snaps during the regular season. And I mean that as no slight to Kizer.

He’s clearly the more naturally gifted quarterback between himself and Brett Hundley. As they both contend for the backup quarterback position, it should be Kizer’s job to lose. Especially since Green Bay sent a former first-round pick at a position of need to the Cleveland Brown in exchange for Kizer’s services.

However, Kizer did fail to pick up a victory with Cleveland last season, going 0-15 in the process. Even with the lack of talent on the Browns, that’s hard to ignore. He had an up and down game against the Packers late in the season which highlighted the highs and lows of his rookie year.

If Green Bay is asked to rely on the second-year player, don’t hold your breath.
