14. AJ Hawk, Linebacker

Probably the least-flashy player on the list is AJ Hawk. He was never a Pro Bowl player, but nevertheless was a model of consistency for years. As the leader of the defense Hawk led the team in tackles five times and was the signal caller during his nine seasons with the Packers.

We were fortunate to make AJ my first pick as head coach in 2006, and he spent the next nine years giving everything he had to the Green Bay community and the Packers,” Mike McCarthy once stated. McCarthy had always raved about Hawk’s leadership qualities throughout his career.

Hawk played in all 16 games in eight of his nine seasons with Green Bay. He racked up 923 tackles, 20 sacks and nine interceptions during his tenure. Hawk played one season with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2015 before signing a one-day contract to retire with Green Bay in April 2017.

After retiring, Hawk started his own radio show and frequently interviews current and former Packers players.
