2. This player will get cut.

As high as some people will get on certain players, the opposite is also true.

After a few bad practices or not showing up for OTAs, some people might be ready to claim that a major contributor is ready to be cut. Davon House is one of those guys this season. He may very well end up getting cut, and I even predicted so as well, but we can’t go all in on the lack of quality play on the practice field early on.

Some players are slow learners and need some time to adjust to learning the advanced playbook at the NFL level. It might be natural they struggle early on. The key is to watch how they progress. Are they getting better every day? Do they keep battling? These are some of the questions that will let us know their long-term chances with the team.
