1. The injury bug hasn’t subsided from last season

The Packers entered OTAs relatively healthy, but exit the first three days with a bevy of (minor) injuries. After Tuesday’s injury report was released, a decent amount of players were shown as DNP (did not practice).

Notable names included Davante Adams, Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, all of whom had no prior injuries entering OTAs. Of course, Matthews and Perry have had an extensive injury history during their careers. However, many of the players on the injury report may have sat out due to precautionary measures.

Coach McCarthy stated that Adams is ‘battling a couple of things‘. Adams practiced in a limited capacity throughout the rest of the week.

Lane Taylor and Bryan Bulaga likely won’t work out at all during OTAs. Taylor underwent a ‘clean-up procedure‘ on his ankle, while Bulaga suffered a torn acl last season.

Speaking of injuries, Aaron Rodgers was asked if he would change his play-style. The question was in reference to his broken collarbone – which occurred on a play when Rodgers scrambled out of the pocket in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Rodgers, with a smirk, promptly responded: ‘Nope’. The Packers’ signal caller is well-known for his ability to extend plays outside of the pocket.
