2. Ty Montgomery is still practicing at running back

Ty Montgomery began the 2017 season as the Packers’ starting running back. Wearing an unconventional number due to originally being drafted as a receiver, Montgomery originally showed the coaching staff he had the capabilities to see significant time in the backfield during the 2016 season.

He suffered broken ribs early-on in the 2017 season, which opened the floodgates for rookies Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams to see the field. The dynamic duo looked outstanding, combining for over 1,000 yards rushing – even with Brett Hundley under center. This drew questions about where Montgomery might play this coming season.

Perhaps some of those questions were answered during the first few practices at OTAs. Montgomery was participating in drills with the rest of the running backs. It still remains a huge question mark as to who will be the starter going into next season.

Whether it’s Jones, Williams or Montgomery, the Packers will have a tough decision to make regarding a starter.
