5. Justin McCray just keeps impressing

Justin McCray had one of the most underrated seasons of any Packers player in 2017. He was a jack-of-all-trades on the offensive line. Apparently, he’s been working hard this offseason, trying to build upon the foundation he’s already set for himself.

Offensive line coach James Campen said of McCray: “The kid just keeps impressing you. What he’s done this offseason speaks volumes to where he wants to go.” McCray had an excellent season in 2017, entering as a backup and exiting as a proficient starter. He filled in at multiple positions when called upon, even playing at left tackle for a few snaps.

McCray will enter training camp as one of the possible candidates for the starting right guard position. The Packers elected not to re-sign last season’s starter Jahri Evans. It looks as though the coaching staff has been satisfied with McCray’s development.
