3. Brice Turang, Shortstop, Santiago High School

Brice Turang is MLB.com’s 22nd ranked prospect and has a good chance to be available when the Brewers are on the clock.

He was once the top high school player in the nation, but failed to live up to the enormous expectations that come with that honor. Although he didn’t necessarily struggle, he didn’t stand out as much as scouts had hoped.

He’s a great all-around player and doesn’t have one thing that he does extraordinarily well. This has scared some teams and caused them to drop on their board. The Brewers also have question marks about Orlando Arcia as their future shortstop, as he hasn’t completely lived up to expectations yet. Turang might provide them with some long-term insurance in case that doesn’t work out.
