Milwaukee Brewers 2018 MLB Draft: 5 hitters they could select

5. Noah Naylor, Catcher, St. Joan of Arc High School

Noah Naylor has the versatility to either play catcher or the infield depending on how teams see him. And, depending on how teams see him, might be drafted in the top 20 (the Brewers’ hold the 21st pick) or not in the first round at all.

MLB.com has him ranked as their 32nd prospect, however, he may be a fit for Milwaukee based on their loaded outfield in the minor leagues and the fact they don’t have a long-term catcher.

Naylor is a hitter who projects to be able to hit for power as well throw a powerful strike to a base. This great arm strength is one reason why he may be moved from the catcher position. Overall, he’s a player who is more advanced in his hitting than his fielding right now, which could carry him to the majors at some point.
