2. Jaire Alexander

The Packers felt strongly enough about Alexander to move back up in the first round, give up an additional third rounder (probably a steep price) and select him with the 18th overall pick.

Part of that reason is probably that Alexander projects to be able to step in and play right away. He still has some growth to make, but has shown enough abilities to be able to have an impact during his rookie season with the Packers.

Alexander figures to play mostly in the slot, but is tough enough to move to the outside as well. Regardless, he’s going to compete and give it his all for every snap he’s on the field.

The Packers need Alexander especially to step up and prove he was worth the mid-first round pick they spent on him. Green Bay can ill-afford to miss on another high draft pick, especially in the secondary.
