Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Wide Receiver

The big and athletic Green Bay Packers wide receiver mold carries on with the pick of Marquez Valdez-Scantling.

Gutekunst knew that they needed WR’s that can go up and get the football especially with Rodgers still being in his prime. Valdes-Scantling has scary speed and showed that on his 40-yard dash with a 4.38 run. He also has the size being 6-foot-5 to go with his speed but needs to work on developing his other routes.

He runs the outside routes well, rather, it’s the ones on the inside like slants that need polishing. He is in contention for the starting outside spot, but will most likely start as a gunner on special teams with his straight line blazing speed. After losing fan favorite Jeff Janis, special teams coordinator Roon Zook will cherish a guy like Valdes-Scantling and his speed.
