Josh Jackson, Cornerback

Josh Jackson is considered a steal from the 2018 NFL draft because he fell right into the Packers lap. There was no bad information about him at all. Its just the cornerbacks weren’t taken much as much early on as everyone predicted.

Jackson fits the mold the Packers are looking for at cornerback given he’s long and physical off the ball. The fact Alexander was taken a pick prior to Jackson might lower his impact level down a tad.

Jackson works best with his eyes on the QB and loves jumping routes. He can play a solid nickel or slot cornerback in this year’s defense. He can really thrive in Mike Pettine’s defense with how much coverage schemes he runs. Also, just like Alexander he isn’t afraid of getting physical and is stout in the run defense. His tape always shows him tackling people and getting flipped in mid-air.
