14. Samkon Gado

Samkon Gado was a one-hit wonder for the Packers who came out of absolutely nowhere for the team. Gado is an amazing story even on a list filled with players with amazing stories.

He only started two games in college at the University of Liberty and never played in a preseason game before receiving his first start for the Packers at the NFL level. He had a lone carry during that game for eight yards against the Cincinnati Bengals, but would have a nice seven-game stretch following his first appearance.

During the next seven games, from Nov. 6, 2005 to Dec. 19, he carried the ball 20 or more times in five of those games and ran for over 100 yards three times. That included an amazing 171 rushing yards against the Detroit Lions.

Unfortunately, head coach Mike Sherman was fired the following year and Gado didn’t fit with new coach Mike McCarthy’s plans. He was traded just one game into the 2006 regular season and never eclipsed 70 rushing yards again. Regardless, he will remain in our hearts for his improbable seven-game stretch of rushing dominance.
