3. Ethan Hankins, RHP, Forsyth Central High School

Ethan Hankins is the third straight high school pitcher on this list, indicating general manager David Stearns might be willing to take a gamble on a high upside pitcher.

Hankins could be a steal this low in the draft, as Kieth Law touts him as a potential top 5 pick before he injured his shoulder. He hasn’t had the same type of stuff since his return and is obviously not fully healthy. However, if he just needs some more time to get over the injury bug, this might be a calculated gamble on the Brewers part.

At 6-foot-6, he’s a tall, lengthy player that has an ideal build for a pitcher. His fastball can reach 96 MPH at times and has really good command. He also throws a curveball and a changeup as effective pitches. Hopefully, the Brewers can get their hands on Hanks with the advanced repertoire he already has.
