5. Cole Wilcox, RHP, Heritage High School, Ringgold, Georgia

As you can see from the video above, Cole Wilcox has a bit of an unusual delivery. He throws the ball from about a three-quarters slot which can make it hard for hitters to read out of his hand.

At 6-foot-5, he has great size for a pitcher and could develop into a No. 2 starter if everything falls into place for him. He’s done a great job of improving his stock this year and is one of the draft’s biggest risers so far.

His fastball can reach 95 MPH and he likes to throw his slider as well. However, he will need to work on his secondary pitches at the next level. He has a verbal commitment to Georgia, but a first-round selection in this year’s draft could easily change that.
