The Milwaukee Brewers hold the 21st selection in the upcoming 2018 MLB Draft. Here are five possible pitchers for them at that spot.
The Milwaukee Brewers have one of the deepest farm systems in all of baseball and hope to continue to grow that with the upcoming 2018 MLB Draft.
They hold the 21st overall pick and are in a prime position to take a player who can make an impact in a few years. They have whiffed on their first rounder the last few years and they’ve been fortunate enough to draft well in other places (and make trades) in order to supplement their depth. However, they can’t continue to miss on their top picks.
This year’s draft is unique for Milwaukee, as they most likely will want to target a pitcher with their top picks. Milwaukee is pretty deep with position players, especially outfielders, but lack impact pitchers on both their major and minor league rosters.
With that being said, they are in a great position to snag one at 21, as there are more than a few options they can go with. Whether it be college pitchers who will be ready to contribute a lot sooner or guys straight out of high school who will take longer to develop, the Brewers will have their pick. Let’s preview five potential pitchers they could take.
