6. Where will the pass rush come from?

The Packers were tied for 17th in the NFL last season with 37 sacks. The same number the vaunted Minnesota Vikings’ defense posted.

However, Green Bay will need to amp up their pressure a little bit more this season. Especially, considering the youth and potential struggles they’ll have in their secondary.

Mike Pettine is known for dialing up a pressure-based scheme that creates chaos and potentially opens up some lanes for the defense to get after the quarterback. Too often last year the Packers’ coaching staff talked about winning one on one matchups with offensive linemen that their players couldn’t win.

The Packers would be wise to understand their two most talented pass-rushers, Clay Matthews and Nick Perry, are hurt more often than not. This creates the need to rely on schemes to get after the quarterback instead of talent.
