10. Anthony Fasano, TE

Green Bay is okay atop their tight end depth chart with Jimmy Graham and Lance Kendricks. However, after that, it’s very slim pickings. Emanuel Byrd appears to be the next guy in line to earn the third roster spot and that’s not great.

Anthony Fasano is getting up there in age (34-years-old) and hasn’t caught more than 26 balls since the 2012 season. But that’s not the reason the Packers would be interested in Fasano.

He’s one of the better run-blocking tight ends in the league and Green Bay could desperately use that versatility. Both Graham and Kendricks are much better pass-catchers than they are run-blockers. In fact, they really aren’t that good at run blocking at all.

Fasano could come in for short yardage or goalline situations and help Green Bay get the yard or two they need to keep the chains moving. Every now and then, he could even sneak out for a pass to catch the defense off guard.
