19. John Brockington

John Brockington was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 1971 draft and barely makes the cut. He was a stud running back for the Packers, rushing for 5,024 yards in his career, third-most of any Packer behind Ahman Green and Jim Taylor.

Brockington started out his Packer career on fire, rushing for over 1000 yards his first three seasons in the league. Unfortunately, his workload severely decreased after his fourth season and his yards went down as well.

In 1971, he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and that was the first of many accolades he’d collect. Throughout his career, he also earned three Pro Bowls and one first-team All-Pro selection.

Brockington was a big running back who relied heavily on his strength and used a bruising rushing attack. It’s no coincidence, then, he was able to plow his way onto No. 19 on this list.
