Green Bay Packers: 20 best draft picks since the merger
2. James Lofton
James Lofton is the only current member of the National Football League’s Hall of Fame on this list. He was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 1978 draft and played his first nine seasons in Green Bay (which also happened to be his best years.).
During that time, he racked up 9656 receiving yards and 49 touchdowns. He also ranks third in team history with 530 receptions and second in receiving yards. In total, he was selected to eight Pro Bowls (seven of them with the Packers) and one All-Pro team.
After his time with the Packers ended in 1986, he went on to play for the Los Angeles Raiders, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams. Although, he wasn’t nearly as successful with those clubs as he was with his original team.
