Green Bay Packers: 20 best draft picks since the merger
10. Chad Clifton
Chad Clifton is the second offensive linemen we have on our roster and the first tackle.
He was an old rookie, drafted at 24-years-old back in the second round of the 2000 NFL Draft. However, that allowed him to come in and play right way and anchor Green Bay’s left tackle position for the next 12 years. Literally, they didn’t have to worry about the position.
During that time, he only made two Pro Bowls and was criminally underrated by the national media. If they had any idea about the type of player Clifton really was, those appearances would’ve at least doubled.
The Packers may have finally found their replacement at left tackle in David Bakhtiari, but it took them a few years to figure it out. Proving, once again, just how valuable someone like Clifton is.
