5. Maceij Bender, Forward, West Virginia

Maceij Bender is a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward who attended West Virginia the past two seasons. There, he played in 58 total games, averaging 1.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. He was cast out of position at center, so maybe a move back to power forward would be helpful for the three-star recruit to find his footing.

It’s noted Bender might be looking to return to his original country of Poland and play professionally, but if he decides to stay in college, Wisconsin might be a good place for him.

He was originally projected as a stretch-four, but has yet to realize that potential in college. He’s only taken nine total three-point attempts, connecting on one of them. However, we all know how Wisconsin loves their big men who can shoot, so he might be able to recapture that potential with the Badgers.

The downside is he would be ineligible to play next season, meaning Wisconsin would have to wait a year to utilize his services.
