Scouting Report. Alec James. player. DE. 32. Pick Analysis. Undrafted.

Alec James is one of three Badgers to sign as an undrafted free agent with a team, as he signed with the Arizona Cardinals.

James played four seasons at Wisconsin, all from the defensive end position. In those four years, he registered 100 total tackles, 15.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. He got better and better every season and it culminated in a 6.5 sack performance last season, as he took a huge step forward.

James will look to carry that momentum into the NFL with the hopes he can secure a roster spot in Arizona.

Unfortunately, it appears he has an uphill battle to climb. Arizona brought in 24 undrafted rookies along with their six draft picks. His first opportunity will come at their rookie minicamp from May 11-13.
