Scouting Report. (164th pick). S. player. 15. Pick Analysis. Round 5. Natrell Jamerson

Natrell Jamerson was the third Wisconsin Badger off the board and the second in the fifth-round, but has the best chance of having an immediate impact on his NFL club.

The New Orleans Saints are expected to move Jamerson to cornerback after he played safety his final season at Wisconsin. The versatility he displayed throughout his college career (coming in as a wide receiver, shifting to nickel back and then to corner) will only help his chances of catching on somewhere in New Orleans.

His 4.40 40-yard dash at the NFL combine also surprised a lot of people and likely bumped his stock up a bit. That’s also a reason the Saints might feel comfortable moving him to corner, as he has the speed to hang with wide receivers.

Overall, Jamerson is a solid tackler and made enough plays on the ball last season to make him a threat to earn immediate playing time this season.
