TE. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Round 5. (156th pick). Troy Fumagalli. player. 45

Troy Fumagalli was one of the Badgers top targets last season, hauling in 46 receptions for 547 yards and four touchdowns. All of that came with a shady quarterback at the helm so who knows where he could’ve gone if he had a more steady thrower to receive passes from.

Regardless, he was selected with the 156th overall pick by the Denver Broncos and became the second Badger off the board.

Denver is trying to revamp their offense around Case Keenum and hope Fumagalli can provide a big body target down the middle of the field to help relieve the pressure. They still have Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas at wide receiver to keep most of the defense’s attention.

The Broncos also added Courtland Sutton, a wide receiver, with their second-round pick, Royce Freeman, a running back, with their third-round selection and DaeSean Hamilton, another wide receiver, with one of their fourth-round picks. All four rookies will have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the team this season.
