Matthew Dellavedova: C-

Matthew Dellavedova is overpaid which means his expectations are higher than what he’s capable of meeting. Given his $9.6 million average annual salary, he should be doing a lot more than just becoming the agitator and the glue guy when he’s on the floor. But that was his role this season.

In 38 games, he averaged just 4.3 points and 3.8 assists while shooting an awful 45.7 percent effective field goal percentage. The points per game is the lowest of his career and not an exciting development for a guy who still has two years left on his contract.

Don’t get me wrong, Dellavedova certainly holds value in the NBA, but is probably best served as the third point guard who can come in and harass the opposing team like he did against Boston. He also needs to rediscover his outside shot in order for him to truly maximize his potential.

If those two things can happen in 2019, expect to see his grade rise significantly.
