D.J. Wilson: D-

D.J. Wilson was the Bucks first-round selection in 2017 with the 17th overall pick. Unfortunately, the 22-year-old was never able to make an impact during his rookie year and is even considered somewhat of a project.

At 6-foot-10, Wilson was expected to be able to help stretch the floor at either the small forward or power forward position and give Antetokounmpo some more room to work with. He was never able to get anything going, as only appeared in 22 games and averaged 3.2 minutes during those appearances.

He did appear in 11 games for the Herd, averaging 15.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. It would’ve been nice for him to spend the whole season down there instead of riding the pine for what basically accounted for as a redshirt campaign.

Even as the 17th pick, Wilson was expected to contribute in some minor ways at least. Unfortunately, he was never able to make anything happen, thus earning him a D-.
