Thon Maker: C-

Thon Maker was supposed to do good things this season, especially after a great first-round series against the Toronto Raptors in the 2017 playoffs.

Unfortunately, he failed to take a step forward and even took a step backward in his play. It’s obvious his lack of strength hurts him in all facets, as he’s easily bullied and pushed around when trying to go up against other bigs down low.

His outside shot, which was supposed to be his bread-and-butter, failed him as well. After knocking down 37.8 percent of his three-point shots during his rookie year, he only connected on 29.8 percent this year. That’s an awful step back.

Maker may never bulk up and that’s okay. However, he must then improve the consistency on his outside shot in order to negate his weaknesses.
