Green Bay Packers: Top 10 players in 2019 NFL Draft

8. Deandre Baker, cornerback, Georgia

It’s amazing the way draft classes can fluctuate from one season to another. 2018 was the year of the cornerback with two going in the top 11 in Denzel Ward and Minkah Fitzpatrick. While it might be more accurate to say Fitzpatrick is a safety, he’ll certainly line up some at corner.

2019 might only see one corner, Deandre Baker, go in the top 20 so it’s a good thing the Packers used their top two picks on the position this year.

Baker will be a senior going into the 2018 season and very easily could’ve thrown his name into this year’s draft.

After playing sparingly during his first two seasons, he burst onto the scene last year. He played in all 15 games, registering 44 total tackles, one for a loss and three interceptions to go along with nine pass deflections.
