Pro: Immediate starter in the slot

It’s no secret the Packers secondary has been a mess the past two years, and Jaire Alexander is the first step to attempt a remedy for that. Green Bay has lost the likes of Micah Hyde, Tramon Williams (now re-signed), Davon House (also back with the squad), Casey Hayward and Sam Shields. That’s a lot of talent.

Thankfully, the Packers are on their way to add some talent back into the secondary. Last season, they drafted Kevin King who should be a nice get if he can stay healthy.

This year, they got an immediate starter in the slot. Alexander is extremely quick and showed some of the best hip movement at the combine, running a 3.98 20 yard shuttle.

Even with his shorter stature (5’10” and 196 pounds), he is built to keep up with the quicker receivers of the NFC North. He is likely to be the guy who draws the matchups against Golden Tate and Taylor Gabriel during division games.

The Packers’ secondary just go tmore talented.
