5. Derwin James
Derwin James has been argued to be the best safety in the entire 2018 draft. Green Bay interviewed the Florida State prospect at the combine asking about his versatility. James was asked about dropping deep in coverage as well as playing in the slot. A position he regularly blitzed from in college.

James is a compacted prospect and would likely be a day-one starter. And, he’s the Packers best bet for replacing Burnett with a perennial playmaker. He may not be available at pick 14 so it may come down to if the Packers think highly enough of James to move up for him.
