Final Green Bay Packers big board for 2018 NFL Draft
10. Da’Ron Payne, DT, Alabama (Previous: 12)
Are we ever going to get away from these defensive linemen? It feels like the whole list has been full of them so far.
Anywho, coming in at No. 10 is Da’Ron Payne out of Alabama. Payne is slightly ahead of Vea on most draft boards due to his versatility and potential to continue to improve as he adds more and more muscle to his frame.
Payne’s comparison on NFL.com is Ndamukong Suh and that’s exactly how he plays (minus the extracurriculars). Payne has all the tools to become the unstoppable beast he displayed in the College Football Playoffs this year.
He’s a very realistic option for the Packers at No. 14 if they really want him and want to add to their depth along the defensive line.
