12. Marcus Davenport, DE, Texas-San Antonio (Previous: 10)

Marcus Davenport also sees himself drop a couple of spots here and I’m sure he’s very upset about it.

If the Packers end up keeping their pick at No. 14, Davenport has become the overwhelming favorite among mock drafter lately. Davenport will immediately become a contributor along the defensive line, working in behind Kenny Clark, Mike Daniels and Muhammad Wilkerson.

Although, Packer fans may have to be somewhat patient with him, as it could take some time for him to develop. He should have some good pass rush moves right off the bat, as he played from the standup position at Texas-San Antonio. The main thing with him is working on his consistency and turning the flashes into a more regular occurrence.

Davenport isn’t a sexy pick in the first round and may put some people to sleep, but he’s a solid player that would be a welcome addition and help to make the defensive line even more a position of strength.
