Final Green Bay Packers big board for 2018 NFL Draft
14.Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama (Previous: Not Ranked)
This is the worst-case scenario for the Packers and it has nothing to do with Calvin Ridley.
Ridley is the best wide receiver in this class that lacks a truly transcendent talent, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have an impact right away. Thanks to his size (6-foot-3) and speed (4.43 40-yard dash, he will become an immediate game-changer for whoever drafts him.
That even includes the Packers who need a solid wide receiver on the outside opposite Davante Adams now that Jordy Nelson is gone.
But as good as Ridley can be and will become, he does nothing to address the massive, massive holes the Packers have on the other side of the ball.
This should only be the Packers pick if the draft board falls horribly wrong and they aren’t able to get someone to help out their coverage or their pass rush.
