3. Derwin James, S, Florida State (Previous: 2)

Alright, finally we get down to the last three players and we find ourselves with a (spoiler) trio of defensive backs.

James is the first one to pop up on our list and slides one spot from No. 2. His slide has nothing to do with anything he’s done, rather my prioritization of two players who could potentially be true corners.

James can line up all over the field and work with the other defensive backs already on the roster to provide some much-needed versatility. He’d also create a dynamic duo at the safety position with holdover Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

There might not be a real opportunity for any of these three defensive backs to be selected by the Packers and James might be the first to go. But if he does dip to No. 14, the Packers just got themselves a game-changer in the secondary.
