5. Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech (Previous: 6)
Tremaine Edmunds isn’t nearly as talented as the four players before him on this list, but he has a great chance to become a stud outside linebacker which moves him all the way to No. 5.
Edmunds is only 19-years-old, yet possessed and displays the maturity and skill set of a much older player. I’m not going to lie, this age also plays a part in him being so high on this big board because we all love potential.
Even so, he’s a beast and one of the most athletic players in this draft class as evidenced by his 4.5 40 at 6-foot-5. He can also do a little bit of everything; drop into coverage, play the run and rush the passer. Especially rush the passer.
The best part about Edmunds is he isn’t pigeon-holed into a traditional outside linebacker position. He can move inside as well which would open up even more playing time for him. If he’s the selection at No. 14, it’s a true swing for the fences pick.
