Round 5, Pick No’s 138, 172 and 174: Terrell Edmunds, S, Virginia Tech, Bo Scarbrough, RB, Alabama and Joe Ostman, OLB, Central Michigan.

With a trio of picks in the fifth round, the Packers select a player for their secondary, a pass rusher, and a running back to shore up those positions.

Terrell Edmunds, older brother of Tremaine Edmunds who projects to go in the top half of the first round, would be a nice steal for Green Bay at the beginning of the fifth round. He has great speed, as he ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and would help provide some much-needed coverage on tight ends and slot receivers.

Bo Scarbrough gives the Packers a big bruising back to add to their backfield, sort of like Eddie Lacy. Green Bay needs to add another running back to their roster since Ty Montgomery figures to switch back to wide receiver at least part-time.

Joe Ostman is their final pick of the round and gives them another player to potentially work in the rotation at outside linebacker.

Ostman is a try-hard player and never gives up on any play. He may not be the most physically gifted, but he’s strong enough and works hard. Even if he doesn’t play on defense right away, he should be a special teams contributor.
