3. Denzel Ward, CB, Ohio State

Denzel Ward is one of the two best players the Packers could realistically hope to fall to them at No. 14. He’s also the beginning of a string of three-straight cornerbacks to finish out this list which says more about the Packers state of affairs than the corners available in the draft.

Ward has the potential to be a lockdown corner and the best straight-up cover man in this draft. He showed all that ability and more at Ohio State and would be a huge get for the Packers.

Even though he’s a bit undersized at 5-foot-10, he and Kevin King would compliment each other perfectly if King can stay healthy. As they develop, they could turn into two of the best corners in the league and provide the Packers with the stability they’ve lacked at the position.

As more and more mock drafts come out the closer we get to the actual draft, it’s looking less likely that Ward will fall to the Packers. However, if he does, Green Bay should jump all over the opportunity.
