4. Dante Pettis, WR, Washington

Dante Pettis is another player who falls into the luxury category that Chark was in. Green Bay wouldn’t be wise to get both of these receivers, but if they pass on Chark or if he isn’t available in the second, Pettis would be a great target further down in the draft.

He’s projected to go in Rounds 3-4 where the Packers hold three total selections. That gives Brian Gutekunst and co. plenty of opportunities to select the man from Washington.

Pettis is a much different player than Chark, lacking the natural athleticism. However, he is a solid fundamental player that should fare well in the slot. He won’t run past his defender, but he is such a good route runner he can get open against anyone. Pettis might be a good player to fill the other slot opposite Randall Cobb and could be a punt returner as well.

He’ll never be a superstar, but can certainly be a guy who racks up 800 yards and five touchdowns on a regular basis. That kind of weapon is overrated and would be a huge pickup for a guy drafted in the fourth round. The Packers have been lacking that tertiary weapon the past couple seasons with Cobb not playing up to his potential. In the end, Pettis could be the guy who replaces Cobb if Packers decide to cut ties next year.
