Wisconsin Football: Which Badgers are entering the 2018 NFL Draft?

6. Garret Dooley, OLB

Garret Dooley was invited to the NFL combine and had an okay showing with a 4.8 40-yard dash, 21 reps on the bench press and 33-inch vertical jump among other tests.

Those numbers pretty much confirmed he’s a solid, not spectacular athlete who relies more on his football intelligence than his athletic ability.

After only starting one season at the University of Wisconsin, Dooley still needs to prove what he can do to scouts. It may be too late in the game for that, but he at least had a good Senior Bowl week as a jumping off point.

If he’s lucky, he’ll jump into the seventh round, but given his lack of athleticism, that might be a hard-sell for a team. If he goes undrafted, expect many teams to blow up his phone.
