3. Desmond Harrison, OT, West Georgia

Desmond Harrison is a huge gamble and a bit of a wildcard for the Packers to warrant drafting.

His ride to the NFL draft has been an unusual one as he’s bounced from place to place. His college career started at Contra Costa Community College where he was a first-team JUCO All-American. He then went to Texas in 2013 and 2014. However, he was suspended twice before leaving football altogether for two years. Then, he went back to school at West Georgia in 2017 and earned first-team All-Gulf SouthConferencee and first-team AFCA All-American honors.

Even after taking the long way around, he still has great potential at the tackle position due to his elite athletic ability. He flashed some great plays at West Georgia, but needs to be able to do it more consistently.

Along with his off the field issues, his weight is a concern as well. He’s a bit lighter than most tackles at only 279 and that could prove to be an issue.

If the Packers are willing to look past all that, they could find themselves a gem in rounds five or six.
