1. Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/S, Alabama

Some fans might be surprised to see cornerback next to Minkah Fitzpatrick’s name, but that’s what some scouts say his best position will be in the NFL.

After spending most of his time at the safety position in college, Pro Football Focus believes his best position will be as an outside corner. If that’s the case, he’ll have a lot of adjustments to make given he only played 13 snaps at that position last season.

Even if he doesn’t transition to becoming a full-time outside corner, his versatility would be a huge addition to the Packers.

McShay has him ranked as his eighth-best player with a grade of 93 and Kiper Jr. mocked him to go at No. 7 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. NFL.com isn’t as high on him, only giving him a grade of 6.19 and has him listed as a safety.

No matter what position he plays in the NFL, Fitzpatrick will likely excel and become a Pro Bowl Caliber player. He comes in at No. 1 on the Packers’ big board thanks to a combination of his physical traits (4.46 40-yard dash, 14 reps on the bench press), his versatility to play multiple positions and his high intensity on every snap.
