6. Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech

Tremaine Edmunds is a star in the making and would be a huge get for the Packers. He ran a 4.54 40-yard dash which, if you remember correctly, is faster than cornerback Joshua Jackson. Oh, and he’s also 6-foot-5 and 253 pounds!

Edmunds would immediately boost the Packers pass rush which would be a huge help for their secondary. He recorded 10 sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss over the last two seasons at Virginia Tech so he basically lives in the backfield.

NFL.com has his prospect grade at 7.17 which means he’s a Pro Bowl caliber player. McShay grades him out at 91 and has him ranked as the 14th best player in this class. Kiper Jr. predicts he’ll be drafted by the Buffalo Bills at No. 12 (just two spots away from Green Bay!).

Unfortunately, Pro Football Focus is a bit lower on him, “only” grading him at 87.2 which means he’s their third-ranked outside linebacker in this year’s class.

If he does slip a spot or two to 14, the Packers should run their card down real fast and make him their pick.
