THREE DOWN: WALKING WOUNDED

Perhaps the biggest issue for the Brewers so far has been the injury bug.

With injuries to Manny Pina and Lorenzo Cain keeping them out of the lineup but not bad enough to go on the disabled list, they are already shorthanded.

Then, you throw in DL stints for Christian Yelich, Stephen Vogt, Corey Knebel, Boone Logan, and Jimmy Nelson, the Brewers are already in a battle to field a consistent lineup.

Luckily for them, Cain and Pina appear to be close to returning with Cain likely ready to play against the Mets this coming weekend.

And Yelich is eligible to return from the DL on Sunday, with plans to test his oblique injury Friday afternoon according to Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Getting those guys back will help the lineup both offensively and defensively dramatically.
