THREE UP: LEFT-HANDED DOMINANCE

For years, the Brewer bullpen was lacking southpaws, and the ones they did have were single batter guys like Brian Shouse.

That has changed this year with two guys who can go multiple hitters (or innings) in Josh Hader and Dan Jennings, and one on the disabled list (Boone Logan).

Hader and Jennings have been equal parts dominant and consistent with Hader recording a 1.42 ERA and striking out 19.89 batters per 9 innings, good for fifth in the league.

Jennings isn’t quite the same guy, but he’s been great at limiting hard contact, getting ground balls on two-thirds of the batters he’s faced.

With those two guys in the pen and Logan not far behind, the Brewers have great balance in the later innings.

With the top of the inning complete, we have to get to the bottom, which means three downs from the first couple weeks of the season.
